Giant pearl found in Palawan, Philippines and it is 34 kg and its size 1x2ft. The photos of giant pearl became viral and trending online on August 21, 2016. According to Puerto Princesa City government that the pearl was caught the a family 10 years ago and now they turn it over to the government for proper handling.

The news is real and the giant pearl is real. It garnered thousands of shares and views in social media sites.

Hawak na ngayon ng Puerto Princesa City Government ang natural giant pearl na ito matapos na i-turnover ito sa kanila ng mangingisdang nakakuha nito. Higit sa sampung taon na raw itong nasa pamilyang tumangging magpakilala. Sumabit lang daw ang higanteng clam sa lambat habang nangingisda ang padre de pamilya. Pero dahil sa lilipat na sila ng bahay at wala nang mapagtataguan ng perlas nagdesisyon silang ibigay na ito sa lokal na pamahalaan. Ayon naman kay Aileen Cynthia Amurao, City Tourism Officer ng Puerto Princesa nasa 34 kilo ang bigat ng perlas at nasa 1x2 ft ang sukat nito. Hinihinalang ito na ang pinakamalaking perlas sa buong mundo.
