MANILA (UPDATE 4) - Several local government units have suspended classes on Tuesday in anticipation of heavy rains on the tail winds of Typhoon "Labuyo."
- Valenzuela City: No classes for daycare and preschool (public and private). Classes will resume Tuesday for elementary and high school levels (public and private schools).
- Taguig City: No classes for daycare, elementary, and high school students in public and private schools.

The Quezon City public information office, meanwhile, announced Monday night that all levels in public and private schools and universities in the city will have classes Tuesday.

Classes in all levels will also resume Tuesday in Marikina, according to the city's public information office.
The Department of Education, in a statement, urged students and parents to wait for announcements from their respective local government officials.
"DepEd does not declare suspensions," it said.
It urged the public to monitor the #walangpasok hashtag stream on Twitter for updates on class suspensions.
