MANILA, Philippines - An unidentified man threw a black plastic bag at the roof of a passenger bus along EDSA in Pasay City on October 9, 2013 Wednesday afternoon.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) tweeted at 5:08 p.m. that the man was on a footbridge at the EDSA-F.B. Harrison area when he threw the black plastic bag at the roof of a passing Bataan Bus.
The MMDA said that members of the police's Special Weapons and Tactics team have surrounded the bus, checking if there was a bomb in the plastic bag.
The agency said that as of 6 p.m., heavy traffic is being experienced at the EDSA-F.B. Harrison area.
ADVISORY: EDSA F.B Harrison both direction is now full stop due to suspected bomb threat in the area. Take alternate routes. #mmda

Police have yet to identify the man who threw the black plastic bag.
