Jheng Sakay, the De La Salle University DasmariƱas Student Council President got the much-needed support from the students and faculty members of the university as they protested on the alleged “Academic Disturbance” caused by the shooting of Got To Believe on their campus.
Most students from La Salle DasmariƱas agreed with Jheng Sakay’s protest against the hit TV series featuring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. Some student supporters of Sakay commented that their classes were disturbed by some of staffs of “Got To Believe.”
The ABS-CBN did not make their official statement yet regarding the issue.
Here’s one post by Jheng Sakay’s Supporters on her Facebook Page:
I am in a level 4 school. I am part of a big family who worked hard for that prestige. I studied, made papers, taught well, argued, quarreled, adjusted, and ultimately shared by strengths and incapacities to contribute to where DLSU-D is now.
thus, I was offended when my second home was made into one big studio–covering names, disregarding policies, and even insinuating that DLSU-D is that rival school. I was angered when teachers were shouted at, disrespected, and treated like insects in front of students. I was annoyed when roads were blocked, parking spaces were occupied, and classes were disrupted. I felt disturbed when they desecrated the JFH kubo, smoked when they wanted to, and cussed as if there is no tomorrow.
I am very much saddened that many students forgot the very reason why their parents sent them to a level four school – to get a decent education. To get LASALLIAN education. for the past weeks that that “program” disturbed our school, some students became an embarrassment…shrieking, stalking, and doing things which would make one think if they are really educated.
We are all in a level 4 school…and this school has done whatever it could to make our dreams come true. the least we can do is to keep her proud. Animo.
