Breaking News: The Washington herald. (Washington, D.C.), 30 Nov. 1912 said 15 thousand people died when storm hit Philippines (Tacloban and Capiz). Chronicling America: Historic American Newspapers. Lib. of Congress.

101 years ago (November 30, 1912), a typhoon swept Tacloban and Capiz and 15,000 people were probably killed and wounded.

So history repeats itself?
