Google Street View Launched in the Philippines - Full Video. The whole Philippines and its popular places will be see in Google Maps. The world’s most popular search engine and the one of the tech giant in the United States "Google" announced on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 the launch of Google Street View in the Philippines.
The Google Street View is a feature available on Google Maps and Google Earth applications that allows users to virtually explore cities at ground level, it will also switch the users view from the normal birds-eye view down to street level view.
Google’s highly-anticipated Street View will allow Filipinos and the world as a whole to explore the neighborhood of the Philippines, it is very helpful when someone is trying to get directions to a place, you will be given a chance to scope out what the area really looks like before you even get there.
The Google team in the Philippines started on the streets of Manila using equipment called a trekker, it will work its way through the capital city of Metro Manila before moving on to capture the rest of the 7,101 islands in the Philippines.

In order to collect the 360-degree imagery used in the service, Google Street View Philippines will deploy specially equipped Street View cars in Metro Manila first, to take photographs of both cities and its historic sites particularly Intramuros. The colorful cars are equipped with cameras that captures panoramic images in one view according to Google Country Marketing Manager Ryan Morales.

The Philippine launch of Google Street View is done with the partnership of the country’s Department of Tourism. According to Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez, the initiative is about bringing an experience to potential tourists before they arrive in the country.
Google Street View first appeared during the year 2007, they started in the United States and since then rolled out to more than 50 countries worldwide. (philnews)
