Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) clarified rumors about supertyphoon Agaton and said it's a hoax. PAGASA denied the news that surfaced online about supertyphoon coming in the next few weeks. AGATON is not true.

According to a Facebook post, the super typhoon Yolanda Part 2 will hit the Philippines in the coming weeks. The reports said that estimated landfall is on January 16-17, 2014 and landfall projection area is in Visayas or Southern Luzon. The news became viral and popular in social networking websites.

PAG-ASA Statement
“It’s too early to predict if the low pressure area (LPA) we are looking into right now will be as strong as Yolanda,” (PAGASA) forecaster Gener Quiplong said.

He added further that “Actually, the possibility of that LPA to be a storm is still being monitored. Also, the LPA can be dissolved and not to continue as a storm,” he said.
