Vegas mom teamed up with her son for an epic wedding dance. Just like what mother and son, Kathy and Blake did.
Their mother-son surprise dance number during Blake’s wedding drew cheers among the guests, and what’s more, when uploaded on YouTube, it became an internet sensation.
Kathy Bunker is actually the founder of the Bunker Dance Center, a Las Vegas school that has sent dozens of students into national dance competitions. So when her son Blake Bunker decided to get married last April, Bunker was all business.
Kathy and Blake started off with Nat “King” Cole’s classic ballad “Unforgettable.” When the music fades away, the duo dance their hearts out to The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” M.C. Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This,” and LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem.”
“We decided to do this only a few weeks before the wedding,” Kathy told Yahoo News. “We thought that we should do something besides the typical dance.”
Blake Bunker’s wedding took place last April, but his mother-son dance recently went viral..
Their guests at the TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas gave them a round of applause at the end. But the loudest cheerer was Aaron Turner, a finalist from season 10 of “So You Think You Can Dance.” Turner is a former student of Bunker’s who is now a teacher at her school.
