The 22-year-old mother took the social networking site Facebook to share the photos of her baby because she was disappointed when the nurses who did the same thing to one of the newborns in the same hospital denied that they knew about the incident.
It was May 11, 2014 when a mother faced the media to expose the photo of her five-day old child whose mouth was alleged sealed by the nurses with adhesive taped because they could not stop the baby from crying.
“I decided to post the photos because I was disappointed when I saw the news about the hospital’s denial during the hearing that happened,” the mother told the Cebu Daily News.
The CDN decided to keep the mother’s name since the photo which was posted on Facebook is quickly spreading online.
On the photo, the baby appeared to have a medical tape on his face to put the blue pacifier in place. According to the mother, her baby was only 2 days old when she took the photo.
In a separate interview with GMA News in Cebu, the mother said that he was invited by Commission on Human Rights to give further details about the incident.
However, she does not have any plans to pursue legal actions since she wanted only to uncover the practices done in the private hospital.
