M-6.3 Earthquake Shook Negros and nearby Provinces, Cebu - Photo update

Viral News: Magnitude 6.3 earthquake shook and frightened residents in Visayas and Mindanao, Philippines on May 15, 2014. The earthquake hit Negros Occidental and felt in Cebu, Bohol and other provinces. There were no reports of damages and casualties but residents are advised to monitor and be alert always.

Phivolcs said the quake was felt as far as some areas in Mindanao. It said these areas include:

Intensity III: Roxas City; Bais City; La Carlota City; Zamboanga City; Lapulapu City; Cebu City; La Castillana, Negros Occ.; Bacolod City; Dumaguete City; Jagna, Bohol; Oton, Iloilo; Tayasan, Negros Or.; Jimalalud, Negros Or.; Ayungon, Negros Or.; Sibulan, Negros Or.; Dipolog City
Intensity II: San Jose, Antique; Sibalom, Antique; Pagadian City
Intensity I: Masbate City; Kalibo, Aklan; Labason, Zamboanga del Norte; Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte; Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte
