Veteran comedienne Tia Pusit passed away on Thursday, October 2, after battling a host of health problems, among them kidney failure and aortic aneurysm. She was 66.
ABS-CBNnews.com reported that comedienne’s sister, Nova Villa, said Tia Pusit had medical complications after her operation last September 9 at the Philippine Heart Center, where she has been confined since April.
Actress Sherilyn Reyes-Tan shared in her Instagram account that a concert for Tia Pusit will push through on Sunday, October 5 at Zirkoh, Morato, to pay for the late comedienne’s hospital bills and as “final offering of love and respect for her.”
Award-winning scriptwriter Jake Tordesillas said in his Instagram account that he will miss Tia Pusit’s ”happy disposition she always carried everytime I saw her...but she is in her happiest now in heaven!!!”
Tia Pusit described herself in her Facebook account as “a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend.”
The veteran comedienne's remains lie at St. Peter Memorial Chapel in Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.
