* He is the first to make an outdoor mass during the typhoon (Amang is set to make landfall the same day. Tacloban is in storm signal no. 2)
* He is the first to wear a raincoat during the mass.
* His mass gathered the largest people to attend in one event. Over 7 million people attended the conclusion mass of Pope Francis in the Philippines on January 18, 2015
* Record breaking 28,000 police personnel deployed in in one day.
About 10 million people join the event from Pope's arrival until he left the country.
