Over 1000 students from different schools in Zamboanga City were rushed to the hospitals after drinking deworming capsules on July 29, 2015, Wednesday. The deworming pills were given by Department of Health (DOH). July 29 is a National Day of Deworming wherein schools from different part of the country were obliged to participate.
The news gone viral and scattered in different part of the Mindanao and then in Visayas. It made some people panic allowing them to call their teachers in the school not to let their children drink the capsule.
The first report said that their are already who got killed by the said capsule but DOH denied the report telling that what had happened to the children is a normal side effect. It will not last long.
