Comelec (Commission on Election) to Declare Rodrigo Duterte as nuisance presidential candidate before December 10 which news became viral and trending online.
Duterte's candidacy remains uncertain while the constitutional body deliberates cases that would declare as nuisance candidates some presidential aspirants including Martin Diño, his partymate at PDP-Laban.
On October 26, the PDP-Laban announced that it passed a resolution naming Duterte as substitute in case Diño withdraws from the presidential race. Three days later, Diño announced his withdrawal from the 2016 polls and asked Duterte to run as his substitute.
Under COMELEC rules, candidate substitution due to withdrawal is allowed until December 10, 2015. A candidate who will be declared nuisance on or before that day automatically gets disqualified from the presidential race.
"Duterte will be declared by COMELEC as a nuisance candidate, because a nuisance candidate like Diño can only be replaced by another nuisance candidate." — This catch phrase says it all.
The Adobo Chronicles published the article so, obviously, it's satire.
