15 are confirmed dead while several people are wounded due to the Magnitude 6.7 earthquake that hit Surigao City last night, February 10, 2017. Several houses and buildings are damaged and there's no electricity in some places. Airport of Surigao City are being closed.
Updates: As of 10 am Feb 11, 15 dead, 90 injured due to the #SurigaoQuake, says Surigao disaster risk management council.
Regional civil defense spokeswoman April Sanchez said 7 people were injured outside Surigao, while an undetermined number had been hurt in the city.
"They can't say how many yet because of the power outage" caused by the earthquake, she told Agence France-Presse (AFP).
