Typhoon Ineng Moves Closer to Philippines, Signal No 1 is Up in Luzon

Typhoon Ineng is moving closer to Philippines and it slightly getting stronger which now has 75kph of winds. Signal No. 1 is up already in several parts of Luzon and the whole country may experience bad weather with slight to moderate rain brought by the typhoon Ineng.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) No. 1 was raised in several areas in Luzon on Thursday morning as Tropical Storm “Ineng” slightly intensified.

According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa) 11 a.m. weather report, TCWS was raised in Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Group of Islands, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Northern Abra, and Ilocos Norte.

The state weather bureau said Tropical Storm “Ineng” slightly intensified with a maximum sustained winds of up to 75 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

The location of the eye of “Ineng” was estimated at 725 kilometers east of Casiguran town in Aurora and is moving west northwest at a speed of 15 kph.

Pagasa said moderate to occasionally heavy rains will affect the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and Quezon Province while the southwest monsoon will bring light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains in Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Provinces, northern Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, Antique and Aklan.
