Sarah Geronimo drew praise for laughing off a wardrobe malfunction during a recent televised performance, with netizens calling it a "cute and candid" way to handle the situation.
The 25-year-old singer-actress performed live on "It's Showtime" last Saturday to promote her upcoming concerts, which mark her 10th anniversary in the business. Geronimo sang "Ikot-Ikot," the lead single of her recently released album, "Expressions."
Immediately after the performance, Geronimo was seen turning her back to the audience as she appeared to fix her undergarment.
Vice Ganda proceeded to apparently fix Geronimo's undergarment, with co-hosts Karylle, Billy Crawford and Vhong Navarro covering Geronimo from the audience.
"Okay na," Vice Ganda was then heard saying.
Over the weekend, fans of Geronimo took online to praise the singer for keeping her composure despite the situation, with some joking her big movements in the heart-felt performance ended up unhooking her bra.
Several comments on Twitter brought up a similar instance when Geronimo dealt with her undergarment apparently slipping, explaining the singer's quip on "It's Showtime."
In a YouTube video uploaded in April 2007, a 15-year-old Geronimo, during what appears to be a concert, is seen laughing as she jokes to be given time to adjust her bra.
"Sandali, nalalaglag 'yung bra ko! Kaya nakaganyan ako kanina," she says, laughing. "Pasensya na po ah, walang strap eh. Ganyan talaga pag 15 years old pa lang eh, wala pa eh. Boss Vic (del Rosario, Viva Entertainment head), palagay nga tayo diyan!"
To celebrate her 10th anniversary as "Pop Star Princess," Geronimo will stage three concerts -- on November 15 at the Smart Aranata Coliseum in Quezon City, on November 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, and on December 7 at Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.
