The 17-year-old actress revealed in an interview about her imminent debut celebration that religion is a crucial factor for her and any future boyfriend. She said that she believes that if a man truly loves her, he should accept who she is and part of that is accepting her beliefs. “Ako kung ganon na talaga ako, kailangan tanggapin na ‘yun ng isang tao kasi ako na ‘yun eh hindi mo na 'yun mababago,” she said. According to Bernardo, she would usually bring up the topic of religion between her and Padilla. “Minsan napag-uusapan namin 'yang about sa religion na 'yan, about sa mga differences ng teachings ng mga INC sa ganyan,” she said. The two have been romantically linked in the past, but have consistently denied that they are officially a couple. They have admitted, however, that if ever they enter a relationship, they can see no one else they would want to be together with. Bernardo said in the interview, however, that she is not pressuring Padilla to join the INC. What if she was asked to leave the INC for Padilla? Is she open to this? Bernardo said, “Of course, pero titingan ko muna 'yung teachings kung pasok sa mga pinaniniwalaan ko. Kung pasok naman eh walang problema.”

ReplyDeletewe worked together for more than 8 years....we were just good friends...he never hinted courting me though all the staff said he only has eyes for me...because after detailed scrutiny they have concluded that there is always special food for everyone from him when I am on duty............wedding invitation was posted all over the hospital for his arranged wedding to his first cousin daughter of his mother sister...this is their tradition......the night.. he was flying to Pakistan with his mother for his marriage.... ..he came to my unit....I gave him a card
and gift for his wedding......but to my surprise..he told me..'.there will be no marriage for me except with you..I was so confused...but decided to take it as a joke....so I told him good..no problem... smiling...he then asked 'tell me how ...I told him to personally asked my parents in the Philippines..Would you marry still if your parents will say no...I said yes smiling for as long as you see them in my house......and he did ...he came down before the airplanes door closed and immediately bought ticket to phil.Happily we got married and hurdled all lifes trials and problems to shorten my story.. the two opposing family finally accepted us......we got two beautiful girls both magda cum laude at state university of new jersy Rutgers university for their pre med ed.and now at Columbia university hospital.....22and 23 years old now......both were MISS FILIPINO HERITAGE IN NEW JERSY and several times to phil to do medical mission.....what made our love story a success is the principle we have agreed and practice...we both believe that religion is a way of life... He was brought up this way. ..so am I.. the other way.....we need to take off half of me and his too..to make our life blend...the half that he likes and same with mine.. I learned all the rituals of a muslim dressed up ,and act like one...he goes with me to my church and bible study with my father every weds..it is 100% in giving in... to each other with respect and trust every second....and love just grew deaper..........
Daniel, Kathryn there is always a way if there is a will without sacrificing ones status in religionion again trust respect brige real love.....
Kathren ..Daniel...respect and trust will make your relationship grew stronger.....me and my husband grew up in two different world a conservative muslim and a very dedicated Christian...we make it a point that we adjust our time so we have to be together in his or mine church...and believe me... the reception of his and my church was so amusing...our children practice the same...what we believe is your personal relationship with God and how you live your life........linda sk
