FAKE: Photos of Mt Kanlaon Eruption Goes Viral

Photos of Mt. Kanlaon surfaces online which became viral and trending on December 27, 2015. It garnered the attention of netizens but Phivolcs said that the viral photos are fake. It is not from Mt. Kanlaon instead from Mt. Sinabung in Indonesia.

Please be cautioned that circulating photos in some posts related to Kanlaon Volcano's eruption yesterday, December 27, 2015 are actually those of the Sinabung eruption in Sumatra Indonesia in 2013.
