Updates: Typhoon Urduja made Landfall in San Policarpio, Eastern Samar - December 16, 2017

Scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains will continue over Bicol Region and Visayas and is expected to prevail over Southern Quezon, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque and Romblon. Residents of these areas must undertake appropriate measures against flooding and landslides and coordinate with their local disaster risk reduction and management offices.
Sea travel remains risky over the seaboards of areas under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal.

Location of eye/center: At 1:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "URDUJA" was estimated based on all available data at In the vicinity of San Policarpio, Eastern Samar (12.2 °N, 125.3 °E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 80 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 110 kph
Forecast Movement: Forecast to move West at 15 kph
